You’ll have noticed Blabberize has gone through a redesign. The Blabberize design was made by Alex and myself way back in 2007 and since then we didn’t really change the look of the site. The site was functionally working and as folks built guides and instructions based on that look, it felt like it was more and more of a disruption to change things. Also, given that Alex, Kimi, and I are engineers, we looked at issues in our backlog and always focused on fixing bugs or adding features over style changes. That’s not to say we didn’t want to do a complete redesign, it’s just the task grew over time.

Hey everyone, We’ve recently made a couple of quick updates to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy pages to improve transparency and make sure our documentation is crystal clear for the classrooms and creators who use our tools. Here is a quick look at the two specific updates we’ve implemented: Multi-Channel Notifications: We want to make sure you never miss an important update. Moving forward, if we make any material changes to our Privacy Policy or Terms, we will notify you across multiple channels before they take effect: right here in our homepage blog feed, via a visible notice directly on our login screens, and through a direct email to all registered educators. Data Breach Protocol: We have formalized our internal security procedures. In the rare event of a confirmed security incident involving user data, we have committed to directly notifying affected educators via email and placing a prominent notice on the platform within 72 hours. These updates don’t change how the app functions day-to-day, but they ensure we have a clear, documented process for keeping you informed. You can view the updated text on our standard Terms of Service and Privacy Policy pages.

Hey Blabberize Community! We’ve recently made a couple of quick updates to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy pages to improve transparency and ensure our documentation is clear for the classrooms and creators who use our tools. Here are the two specific changes we’ve implemented: Data Breach Notification Protocol: We have formalized our internal security protocols. In the rare event of a confirmed security incident involving user data, we have added a clause committing to directly notify affected educators via email and via a prominent notice on the platform within 72 hours. Clearer Policy Change Notifications: We have updated our documents to align on how we communicate future changes. Moving forward, any material updates to our Terms or Privacy Policy will be announced right here in the news and blog feed on our homepage before taking effect. These updates don’t change how the app functions day-to-day, but they ensure we have a clear, documented process for keeping you informed. You can view the updated language on our standard Terms of Service and Privacy Policy pages.

Simple Animator had an issue where if you wanted to do something that happened repeatedly it was cumbersome. Imagine a bird flapping it’s wings with 3 states (frames). You’d have to repeatedly place down those 3 flapping wings in the timeline over and over. This was really slow and error prone. So we added the sequencer! In the actor editor you can create sequences of states that repeat over and over. Placing a sequence keyframe on the timeline meant that the keyframes would automatically rotate for you!

Small update to the simple animator. If you’re using a pressure sensitive screen or stylus you’ll have varied line thickness in the actor editor! I’ve found it gives your lines a much more organic feel. You can try it out now in the Actor Editor, click Draw an Actor to bring up the drawing canvas. This works with iPads with stylus too!
